The brief included facilitating family connection and easy conversations, with the wrap-around island seating creating engagement with the cook. Warm afternoon sun streams across the western deck beside for a cosy winter setting.

High windows opposite draw in welcoming golden sunrise warmth deep into the space on a winters morning, while the deep overhangs block that same sun in summer.
